Hi, I'm Aljosa!

My name is Aljosa Makevic, and I'm the Development Excellence and Education Manager @ Gateway.FM. With my combined experience in software engineering, community building, and teaching - I'm very excited to develop Gateway Academy alongside you into something amazing!

I'm a software engineer turned educator with a deep-rooted passion for Web3. After years of hands-on experience in Solidity and frontend development for decentralized applications, I shifted my focus toward enabling others to enter the space with confidence. Alongside his technical work, I've been an active force in the community—serving as Head of Ventures at ETH Belgrade, leading Heapcon as a Project Manager, and organizing initiatives like Ethereum Caravan, a two-week roadshow that brought Web3 education to high schools across eight cities.

Through public speaking, mentoring, and community-building, I discovered my true calling: empowering the next generation of Web3 developers. I've spoken at various events, facilitated countless workshops, always driven by the belief that accessible, high-quality education is the key to real-world adoption of web3. That belief has led me to Gateway Academy—a platform designed to help developers, creators, and curious minds master the tools and concepts behind the decentralized future.
